Drone Flying in the Steppes & Vineyards of Northern Spain
Discover the natural beauty and historic charm of Aragon on this unique 5-day tour. One of the least known regions of Spain, this is a land of dramatic landscapes, medieval villages, and monumental mountains. We’ll point you towards hidden treasures; you’ll experience amazing scenery, and you’ll taste incredible and unique cuisine.
We will be based in Zaragoza, a graceful city which houses a formidable collection of Roman ruins, as well as stylish shops on wide, tree-lined avenues. It’s a city that combines old and new, where chic galleries mingle with Moorish mansions and, of course, the incredible Aljafería palace.
From here we will be visiting two areas of natural beauty, in order to fly our drones. The Steppes landscape of the Monegros, an area dominated by huge expanses of desert, carved fields dotted by Sabinas, sierra, and ravines. And to the south, Cariñena a landscape of vineyards with the change of colors in its leaves in autumn. Its hermitages and villages at sunset. All flying locations have been carefully selected by our local guide Chavi Hernandez, a professional landscape photographer, and drone pilot.
Some previous drone flying experience will be helpful, but not essential as tuition is on hand. Equally, there is plenty here to excite and interest the expert drone pilot.

- Day 1
You will arrive at Zaragoza airport or train station where we will meet and collect you. Transfer from the airport to the hotel is included and will take about 15 minutes. As most flights arrive in the afternoon, we can have a quick intro meeting over a drink to meet everyone in the group before going for a typical Aragonese dinner.
- Day 2
After breakfast, we meet for a briefing about the days’ flying locations before heading to the Southern Monegros. Just a 30 min drive takes us to the Steppes landscape of the Monegros, a vast area of drylands and agricultural flatlands which look spectacular when photographed from above. After a typical lunch in Leciñena, we will fly at a location capturing olive groves and an isolated almond tree at sunset.
- Day 3
In the morning a short drive to the fly in the Cariñena vineyards and clays hills south of Zaragoza. The autumn colours are incredible, and the sense of peace in these places spectacular. After a typical lunch, a visit to a famous winery with the chance to taste the delicious local wines. Getting back to the hotel late afternoon there will be time to take a look at post-production using Lightroom (Photos) and iMovie (Video).
- Day 4
After breakfast, we visit the area Southeast of the Monegros, to fly and film a typical and singular warehouse between drylands and olive tree fields. In the afternoon, we will fly at another location or we can return to the area at dusk if we think the light is better than on previous evenings to capture stunning shots of the mountains as the sun goes down and the light enters the Golden Hour.
- Day 5
After checking out of the hotel, return to Zaragoza Airport to catch our flights home to the UK. Or, if you’d like to continue your exploration of Aragon or other regions of Spain, we’ll be happy to make arrangements for extra accommodation and ongoing travel.

You are welcome to make alternative travel arrangements.
